Vacation: Plimoth Plantation

While Little Bear and I were on vacation, we visited Plimoth Plantation (misspelled on purpose). I am a history major and I have always wanted to go here. It is a living history museum. Actors in period dress go about their day. The visitors to the park walk around and get to talk and ask questions. For more information about the park itself visit their website: Plimoth Plantation. This place was fun. It also gave me a chance to introduce my daughter to history in a fun way. I also liked how they had a set room just for kids. It had dress up clothes, play food and puppet play. A great way to teach your children history. You can print some pilgrim activities at Free Printable Fun and Teacher Vision. We had so much fun at the village we even travelled into Plymouth itself to see the actual rock and other pilgrim sites. I loved this place so much and took a LOT of photos. However, I will only post a couple.

This is us walking up to the village. We took the path that took us by the community farm, instead of to the fort.

Here is a close up of some of the houses and their own private gardens. Little Bear's favorite part of the whole trip was seeing the animals.

Lastly, here is the view from the fort. Isn't it amazing!
