Little Bear is learning to write her letters. I wanted her to make something for my mother and sister, but I was not sure what. Then I came across DIY Mugs. What a great idea!
You can design anything you want! You can put photos or drawn pictures or even put stickers on them. I wanted Little Bear to write "Nana" on one and "Auntie" on the other, however she did not want to do it. Therefore, I decided to simplify it. I let Little Bear make a hand print instead.
Super cute! After they dried, we put the paper between the outer layer and one of the inner layers. These mugs are hand wash only, but that should be okay. In the Amazon comments, some people actually used some kind of waterproof glue to seal the paper in the mugs, however the mug itself does not say to do that. We will test it out it and if the water runs into the paper, we will just make new ones.
Here is our final product! Don't they look great? They are personal and now my family can have a little bit of Little Bear to keep with them! The best thing about these mugs are that you can change the cover any time you like (as long as you do not glue them in). You can have ones for holidays, birthday, or just change them to showcase your child's art. I love these DIY mugs, I think I will make many more!
